Founder and CEO of the Kwarleyz group, Nana Kwame Bediako is at the forefront of real estate, development, and corporate responsibility for some of Ghana’s largest entrepreneurial groups. By establishing the New Africa Foundation, he creates opportunities for children in need and helps contribute to the next generation of sustainable leadership.
Raised in Accra, Ghana, Bediako graduated from the University of Westminster in London, where he developed a passion for entrepreneurship by selling steel and telecommunication materials in addition to his studies. With incredible instincts for real estate, over the next 20 years, Bediako transformed that passion into numerous successful business ventures, revamping the Accra skyline in the process.
Through his work as CEO of the Kwarleyz group, which encompasses brands such as Wonda World Estates, Petronia City Development, and New Africa Construction, Bediako has constructed over 500 residential and business real estate developments throughout Ghana. His vision is to transform industrialization in West Africa, as well as tackle the development challenges which hinder real change on the continent.
In addition to reviving Ghana’s real estate industry, Bediako contributes to the positive future of the country through his New Africa Foundation: the corporate responsibility branch of the Kwarleyz group. The foundation aims to empower children without resources and opportunity; it supports their nutritional, medical, and security needs while allowing them to reach their full potential by removing barriers caused by inadequate care. The broader mission of the organization is to change the destiny of at-risk children around the world.
For his impressive track record in development, his entrepreneurship talents, and his commitment to protecting and supporting vulnerable children, Nana Kwame Bediako is SIA-Africa’s person of the month for January.
